Six ASEAN teams enter FIFA third round, Asian Cup Qualifiers

A total of six ASEAN teams including Myanmar have already advanced to the third round of the FIFA and Asian Cup Qualifiers, according to the ASEAN Football data.
Viet Nam men’s national football team advances to the third round of the 2022 World Cup Asian Qualifiers. At the same time remaining five ASEAN teams: Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia have entered the third round of the Asian Cup Qualifiers.
All the ASEAN teams played eight matches in their respective group.
Myanmar team collected six points with two wins and six losses in Group F to go to the next stage.
In the meantime, the Singapore team garnered seven points from two wins, one draw and five losses in Group D and entered the next stage.
Next, team Thailand got nine points from two wins, three draws and three losses in Group G and the Philippines earned 11 points from three wins, two draws and three losses in Group A.
Malaysian squad had 12 points with four wins and four losses in Group G and reached the third-round qualifiers.
Remarkably, team Viet Nam from Group G qualified for the third round of World Cup qualifiers with 17 points of just one loss and the team made a golden record in ASEAN to enter the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.—GNLM
