Six passengers injured in Myawady bus accident

Six people were injured after a passenger bus skidded out of control and hit a cliff on the Yangon-Myawady Road in Myawady Township in Kayin State yesterday morning.
The accident occurred when a passenger bus hydroplaned and overturned due to rainwater. With 17 passengers aboard, the Myawady-bound vehicle was driven by Han Thu Aung, 34 years of age.
Approximately six passengers—four men and two women—were injured in the incident.
Of them, one passenger identified as Min Min Soe was seriously injured and was receiving medical treatment at a public hospital in Myawady.
The driver has been charged under reckless driving by local police force, according to a source from the Information and Public Relations Department.—MDN
