Small-scale manufacturing businesses to be expanded in Yangon Region

Under the project to create small-scale manufacturing businesses and promote the income of rural families, 16 small-scale manufacturing businesses will be implemented in Yangon Region in the current financial year, according to the Small-Scale Industries Department under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development.
The project began with nine businesses in 151 villages in the 2023-2024 financial year and will expand to 221 villages in the 2024-2025 financial year.
This initiative aims to create job opportunities for local people, providing technical know-how and business-related equipment. — TWA/MKKS
