Solar power illuminates rural areas in Ottarathiri Tsp

Moesway Village in Ottarathiri Township began receiving electricity Tuesday through solar power generation.
Deputy Chief Engineer U Than Tun Aung of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and Township Administrator U Myat Soe explained the installation of power infrastructure and its importance for rural development.
The township administrator then handed over solar power equipment to a village official. Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Phone Zaw Han and officials launched supply of electricity in Moesway and Pantin villages.
Nay Pyi Taw Council spent K82.20 million on supply of electricity to Moesway village-tract in the 2014-15 fiscal year. Innovative Consulting & Technological Services company installed solar panels and related equipment at 315 houses in Moesway village, 82 houses in Pantin village and 132 houses in Gywaygyo village.—Shwe Ye Yint
