SPTT holds second-day meeting with NMSP delegation

The second and final day of the meeting between the State Peace Talks Team and the New Mon State Party is in progress yesterday.

The State Peace Talks Team continued its second-day meeting with the New Mon State Party (NMSP) at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
State Administration Council Member Union Minister at the Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and members — SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun and NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung — and NMSP Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min, Joint General Secretary of the NMSP Nai Win Hla and Central Executive Committee member Nai Banyar Lei attended the meeting.
At the second-day meeting, participants mutually discussed their attitudes on the stage-by-stage implementation of the post-2020 stage-wise procedures and implementations (Table 2). They also talked about regional development matters under the general discussion. Afterwards, both parties signed the agreements resulting from two days of negotiations.
Then, the NMSP Vice-Chairman and the Peace Talks Team Leader gave their concluding remarks. — MNA
