SPTT meets NMSP delegation in Nay Pyi Taw

The first-day meeting between the State Peace Talks Team and the NMSP delegation is in progress yesterday.

The meeting between the State Peace Talks Team (SPTT) and the delegation led by the Vice-Chairman of the New Mon State Party (NMSP) was held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The meeting was attended by State Administration Council Member Union Minister at the Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and members — SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung — and NMSP Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min, Joint General Secretary of the NMSP Nai Win Hla and Central Executive Committee member Nai Banyar Lei.
SPTT Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and NMSP Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min gave their opening speeches at the meeting. Then, participants discussed the list of Union legislation – Table 1 and the list of the region or state legislation – Table 2 in the 2008 Constitution which remains to be discussed, and the findings on the agreements included in Parts I, II and III of the Union Accord whether they comply with the 2008 Constitution and the existing laws. The first-day meeting was adjourned after attendees exchanged their views and opinions.
The second-day meeting will be held on 10 November. — MNA
