State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects Shan Yoma livestock zone in Ayethaya Industrial Zone, pays homage to Inlay PhaungdawU Pagoda

Only when those at present conserve natural environment will they hand over the good environment to new generations, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in his tour of raising of layers and pedigree pigs in Shan Yoma livestock zone in Ayethaya Industrial Zone of Taunggyi yesterday morning.
The Senior General heard reports on breeding tasks in Shan Yoma breeding zone, production of livestock products and requirements, the progress of industrial production in Ayethaya industrial zone, long term existence of Inlay Lake and future plans by officials.
After hearing the reports, the Senior General expressed his pleasure for the efforts of local people in successfully raising the layers. He stressed the need to successfully emerge the breeding of dairy cows and produce livestock, fish and other agricultural products in the industrial zone. Efforts must be made for manufacturing the finished agricultural and livestock products with the use of raw materials. He said it is necessary to export frozen fish and meat and agricultural products to the domestic and international market.
The Senior General highlighted the supply of water and safety of industrial zone, operation of small and medium scale industries, and environmental conservation. Only when those at present conserve natural environment will they hand over the good environment to new generations. The Tatmadaw is dropping seeds by helicopter for greening Inlay Lake as well as across the nation.
The Senior General stressed the need to move residence on the island from the water of Inlay Lake not to increase the population in the lake. It is necessary to reduce works on the floating lands. Locals and administrative bodies need to join hands in environmental conservation. In his past visits, the Senior General said he donated two aquatic weed harvesters for cleaning the weeds and water hyacinths in the lake. Efforts must be made for the production of fertilizers with the use of weeds and water hyacinths to create jobs for the local people.
He discussed that relevant ministries and locals need to strive for the prevention of silting in the main water inlet creeks of Inlay Lake.
The Senior General visited the layer farm of Dr Sai Lon and the pedigree pig farm of Farm Myanmar Co Ltd in Shan Yoma livestock zone and discussed the development of the livestock sector.
The Senior General paid homage to Inlay PhaungdawU Pagoda in the Inlay region of Nyaungshwe Township, offered flowers, water, oil lights and gold foils to the Buddha images in the pagoda and signed the visitors’ book. He donated cash to the fund of the pagoda through the pagoda board of trustees who returned Dhamma gifts.
The Senior General also paid homage to Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vijaya and members of the Sangha at Sein and Mya Monastery and donated cash for nine prerequisites. He also supplicated the health of the Sayadaw and the long term existence of the Inlay region and the pagoda.
The Senior General and party visited Inlay Lake by motor schooner to view round development of the region and situation to conserve the natural environment. — MNA
