State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing opens Youth and Literature Festival to mark Diamond Jubilee Union Day

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing takes the documentary group photo at the launching event of the Youth and Literature Festival to mark Diamond Jubilee Union Day, in Nay Pyi Taw on 29 January 2022.

A ceremony to launch the Youth and Literature Festival to mark Diamond Jubilee Union Day took place at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw in line with prevention and control restrictions of COVID-19 yesterday morning, attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
First, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan formally cut the ribbon to open the festival.
The Senior General unveiled the signboard of the festival and presented cash awards to the Kyaukse elephant dance troupe who participated in the entertainment of the festival. Then, he posed for documentary photos together with attendees to the festival and students.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party viewed around the booths of Ministry of Information, Ministry of Health, National Archives Department, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Science and Technology, Aerospace Technology, and Ministry of Education, asked further information and attended to the needs.
The Senior General and party viewed drawing of cartoon pictures, painting, installation of housing parts ad jigsaw of students and presented gifts to the students.
The Senior General, wife and party enjoyed dance and song entertainment of artistes and students to the accompaniment of the Myanma Athan music band. Two students presented the commemorative gifts to mark the festival to the Senior General and wife who returned gifts and sports equipment for students who participated in the entertainment.
The festival arranges more than 40 booths which will last from 29 to 31 January. Students may pay visits to the festival. —MNA
