Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing paid homage to Maha Muni Buddha Image in Chanmyathazi Township of Mandalay Region yesterday morning.
The Senior General offered flowers, water and gold foils to the Buddha Image and presented cash for the all-round renovation of the image to the chairman and party of the Image Board of Trustees.
The Senior General viewed maintenance tasks and renovation of Maha Muni Pitaka Chamber and left necessary instructions.
After viewing round the Myanmar handicraft booth and the historic art gallery in the precinct of the image, the Senior General instructed officials to maintain the objects displayed in the booths and valuable paintings for existence, systematically compile the data for the history through ancient object donors for observation of new generations, and take care of original marks and evidence of objects in renovation tasks.—MNA
