Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Mr Yohei Sasakawa, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for National Reconciliation in Myanmar and Chairman of the Nippon Foundation in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr Yohei Sasakawa, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for National Reconciliation in Myanmar and Chairman of the Nippon Foundation at the Tatmadaw Guesthouse in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They exchanged views on the enhancement of friendly relations between the two countries, the current political situation in Myanmar, implementation of peace processes by the government and Tatmadaw to ensure the local peace, assistance of Japan and the promotion of relations between the two countries.
Also present at the meeting were Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the SAC, Executive Director Mr Yuji Mori and officials from the Nippon Foundation.—MNA
