State Administration Council donates COVID-19 protective equipment to India

Two special flights departed for India from Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon international airports yesterday in order to transport the COVID-19 protective equipment donated by the State Administration Council during the high incidence of COVID-19 in India.
A total of 500,000 surgical masks (3000’s), 20,000 goggles, 50,000 face shields (1000’s), 100,000 pairs of examination gloves, 100 5L oxygen concentrators and 20 power air-purifying respirator system (PAPR) were handed over to Mr Arun Tureel, Head of the International Desk from Indian Red Cross Society at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi of India.
Myanmar has provided humanitarian aid to neighbouring country India in response to the high incidence of COVID-19 infection and deaths from the disease recently in the country.
A total of 25 Indian nationals who stranded in Myanmar went back home by those flights, and a total of 128 Myanmar nationals were brought back from India.
The returnees from India were given initial medical check-ups at the Yangon International Airport. They will be in quarantine at quarantine centres according to the regulations.—MNA
