State Administration Council together with citizens will emphasize making donations and other assistance to the Buddhism, Senior General says

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing conferred Sasana Nuggaha titles on recipient persons at Thabin Hall of the SAC Chairman Office yesterday afternoon.
Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General said members of the Sangha perform Ganthadhura and Vipassanadhura for the propagation of Buddhism while delivering sermons on ways of prosperity in the world to the citizens at an opportune time. Buddhists make donations for meals, robes, monasteries and medicines to members of the Sangha. Meanwhile, the government confers Sasana Nuggaha titles to laypersons for their meritorious deeds.
“Sasana Nuggaha” means significant donations to the Sasana with four kinds of prerequisites. Meals and medical trust funds are also set up for members of the Sangha residing at various monasteries, especially in border and hilly areas.
The Senior General noted that venerable members of the Sangha have given advice saying that fading out and flourishing of the Sasana depend on those ruling the countries. If the persons ruling the country emphasize the propagation of Buddhism, it will develop. Otherwise, the Sasana is sure to go down similar to flying of woodpeckers’ nature.

The State Administration Council together with citizens will place emphasis on making donations and other assistance to Buddhism. The Senior General expressed his firm belief that as the State Administration Council confers Sasana Nuggaha titles on the laypersons as part of honouring the deserved persons in line with the 38 kinds of auspiciousness.
The Senior General urged those title recipients for the perpetual existence of Buddhism from Myanmar to the world and for joining hands with venerable members of the Sangha from the border and hilly areas with difficulties in their missionary works in addition to nuns to run monastic education schools and nunneries conveniently.
The Senior General conferred Agga Maha Siri Sudhamma Manijotadhara titles on U Aung Aung, U Hla Tun, U Than Win, U Li Qang Chen (a) U Lyo Ah Pauk, and Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win Agga Maha Siri Sudhamma Manijotadhara titles on Dr Hla Win Aung, U Soe Than Tun and U Zeya Thura Mon respectively.
Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of the Senior General, also conferred Agga Maha Siri Sudhamma Singi title on Daw Khin Myint Oo, Daw May Thet Maw, Daw Khin Shwe, Daw Shwe Ou, Daw Than Than Sein, Daw Than Mya, Daw Nan Khin Nyunt and Daw Win Myint and Daw Than Than Nwe, wife the Vice-Senior General, on Daw Myint Myint Than, Daw Htay Htay Thein, Daw Win Zarni Paing for Daw Kyi Pyar Khaing, Daw Thida San, Daw Khin Thant Zin and Daw Ei Thanda Bo respectively.
At today’s ceremony, Agga Maha Siri Sudhamma Manijotadhara titles and regalia were conferred on seven men and Agga Maha Siri Sudhamma Singi title on 14 women. Remaining religious titles on 33 men and 52 women in Nay Pyi Taw Council, region and state governments at designated places. —MNA
