State Counsellor at dinner hosted by defence, security course trainees

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi attended a dinner hosted by the trainers and trainees from of the Course on Management of Defence in the Wider Security Context held at Kempinski Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
The State Counsellor cordially greeted the trainers from the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom and the Myanmar trainees. Speaking on the occasion, the State Counsellor said that mutual understanding and cooperation with each other is of great importance for the development of the country as the course is being attended by the members from the Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force and the administrative sector. The State Counsellor said the trainees are expected to take advantage of the course so that they will be able to serve the interest  of the country and perform responsibilities in a dutiful manner.
The State Counsellor discussed with the trainers and trainees the effectiveness and necessities of the course. The course is being attended by 22 officers from the Tatmadaw, two officers from the Myanmar Police Force and six commissioned officers from governmental organisations. The course began on 27 February and will conclude today.—Myanmar News Agency
