State Counsellor receives Chinese Vice Foreign Minister and Major General, Deputy Chief of Staff

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar received Mr. Kong Xuanyou, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and Major General Shao Yuanming, Deputy Chief of Staff, Joint Staff Department of Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China who are attending the Third Myanmar-China (2+2) High Level Consultations led by Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence at 9:40 am on 17 January 2018 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they discussed matters related to promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation, peace, stability and rule of law along Myanmar- China border, China’s constructive support for Myanmar peace process and enhanced cooperation in the regional and multilateral arena, including the situation in Rakhine State. The meeting was attended by U Kyaw Tin, Union Minister for International Cooperation, U Myint Thu, Permanent Secretary, Directors-General and Deputy Director-Generals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
