State Counsellor receives UNSG’s Special Envoy on Myanmar

State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received United Nations Secretary-
General’s Special Envoy on Myanmar Ms. Christine Schraner Burgener at 11am on 12 December 2018 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, the State Counsellor and the Special Envoy exchanged views on the matters relating to cooperation between Myanmar and the office of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General including the opening of office of Special Envoy in Nay Pyi Taw and the ongoing inter-communal dialogue and public awareness-raising activities in building a harmonious society in Rakhine State.
Also present at the meeting were U Kyaw Tint Swe, Union Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
