State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi returned to Nay Pyi Taw from Singapore yesterday morning after attending the 33rd ASEAN Summit and related summits and a ceremony to hand over the duty of the ASEAN alternative chairmanship.
The State Counsellor and party were seen off at Singapore Changi International Airport by Mr. Zaqy Mohamad, Singapore Minister of State for the Ministry of National Development and the Ministry of Manpower and officials, Myanmar Ambassador to Singapore U Htay Aung and wife, Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) Col. Win Myat and wife and officials of the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore.
The State Counsellor and party reached Nay Pyi Taw at noon and were welcomed at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport by Union Minister U Kyaw Tint Swe from the Office of the State Counsellor, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr. Myo Aung and wife, Deputy Minister U Min Thu from the Office of the President and officials from the Singapore Embassy in Myanmar. — MNA (Translated by Zaw Min)
