State Pariyatti Sasana universities’ admission applications open on 7 November

Members of Sangha take Sasana Taksila Dhamma Cariya exam for the 1384-1385 ME (2022-2023) academic year at the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Mandalay).

Admission applications for the 2023-2024 academic year at the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon and Mandalay) will be available starting from 7 November, as announced by the Department of Promotion and Propagation of the Sasana.
Monks and novices who wish to attend the Sasana Taksila Dhamma Cariya (first-year) course must passed government Pahtamagyi, Cetiyangana and Sakkasiha and must be ages 30, vasa 10.
Monks and novices who wish to enrol in the Sasana Taksila Maha Dhamma Criya (first-year) course must hold one of four kinds of Dhamma Cariya titles. Applicants must be aged 15, vasa 15.
Monks and novices applying for admission to the Sasana Taksila Dhamma Cariya course (first-year) are required to answer a set of five questions on Vinaya, Abhidhamma, Pali and general knowledge equivalent to the level of Pahtamagyi course.
This examination spans two days, with one set of five questions for each day.
Monks and novices who have applied for admission to the Sasana Taksila Maha Dhamma Cariya (first year) are expected to be at the level equivalent to Sasana Taksila Dhamma Cariya (fourth year). In the examination, candidates must answer ten questions. On the second day, they are required to answer ten questions in Pali, Myanmar, and English languages.
Application forms for the Sasana University will be issued on 7 November and closed on 24 November 2023. Completed application forms can be submitted to the registrar of the respective universities.
