State Peace Talks Team continues its 2nd-day meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

The second-day meeting between the State Peace Talks Team and the delegation of PNLO, LDU and ALP is in progress in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The second-day meeting between the State Peace Talks Team and the peace delegation of PNLO, LDU and ALP was held at the conference hall of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw on 24 August.
The meeting was attended by SAC Member Union Minister at the Union Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Team Member SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung, committee members: Lt-Gen Min Naing, members Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein and Lt-Gen Aye Win, and Chairman Khun Thurein and Vice-Chairman Khun Tun Tin of the Pa-O National Liberation Organization-PNLO, Lahu Democratic Union-LDU Chairman Kyar Solomon and General Secretary Kyar Ya Kok, ALP Vice-Chairperson Saw Mra Raza Lin and Member of the Central Executive Committee Khine Soe Mra.
At the second-day meeting, NSPNC member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein explained the studies on the agreements of Part I, II and III of the Union Accord in order to check whether they conform with the existing laws of the 2008 Constitution.
Afterwards, participants discussed and negotiated their points of view and adjourned the second-day meeting. The third day of the meeting will continue on 25 August. — MNA
