State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Sayadaws, led by State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Abhidhaja Maharattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Bhamo Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, received a Buddhist delegation from the People’s Republic of China (PRC), led by the Buddhist Association of China Vice Chairman Abbot Huiming of Jing’an Temple, Shanghai, yesterday morning in Vijaya Mingalar Dhamma Hall on Kaba Aye Hillock.
The two sides discussed bilateral religious matters during the meeting, and the visiting delegation donated Ks2 million for medicines.
The Chinese Buddhist delegation then met with the teaching and administrative Sayadaws from Theravada Buddhist Missionary University and discussed religious matters with them. They donated another Ks2 million for “soon” (food).
Next, the Chinese Buddhist delegation met with the teaching and administrative Sayadaws of State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon), led by Rector Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta Kumara, and studied their missionary works.—Myanmar News Agency
