Stimulant pills seized in Myeik Township

The Myanmar Police Force stated that stimulant pills were confiscated in Myeik Township.
On the night of 23 July, Sithu Han (aka) Sithu was found suspicious while a combined team including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force conducted inspections at the top of the road of the new Annawa Ward in Yepone Quarter, Myeik Township.
The team examined the suspect and seized 2,000 stimulant tablets from him. Half an hour later, 16,000 stimulant pills were captured along with Maung Than (aka) Than Wai on the Aung Thukha Road in South Myeik Village of South Myeik Village-tract, Myeik Township, according to the further investigation.
Similarly, a combined inspection team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force inspected a motorcycle driven by Aung Zaw Htwe (aka) Naung Lone on the Myeik-Taninthayi Road in Shwedu Village of Sandawut Village-tract, Myeik Township, at 6:30 am on 24 July. The suspect was seen with 20,000 stimulant tablets and was prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the MPF said. —MNA
