Stimulant tablets seized in several townships

Drugs were seized in Kyauktada, Mongkhet and Tachilek townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
On 20 June at 3:45 pm, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force examined the suspected Thura Win (aka) Gani on Bogyoke Aung San Road, No 8 Ward of Kyauktada Township and confiscated 30,000 stimulant tablets.
On the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force conducted inspections on the Mongkhet-Mongyang Road near Wanmai Village of Mongkar Village-tract in Mongkhet Township and the suspected Lu Kyi was seen with a motorcycle, thus the team carried out inspections on him and seized 10,000 stimulant tablets.
Similarly, on 19 June evening, a combined team consisting of members of the Shan State Police Force searched the house of Aik Tit and arrested altogether with Aung Myint Oo, Zaw Lwin Oo, San Yi and Aik Yi, totalling five persons and 2,400 stimulant tablets in Yangkyauk Village of Mongkoe Village-tract in Tachilek Township.
The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, stated the MPF. — MNA
