Stimulants worth over K580 mln seized in Mogok Township, Mandalay Region

Over K580million worth of stimulant tablets were seized in Mogok Township, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprised members of Anti-Drugs Squad stopped and searched a car (Toyota Avanza) driven by Sai Kyaw Htay together with his colleagues Ma Nang Kham Swe and Thein Win Aung at the Legyi inspection camp on the Mogok-Mong Lon Road on 22 January. Then, the police force confiscated 0.39 million stimulant tablets worth over K580 million in the car. After the investigation of the suspects, the stimulant pills were trafficked from Shan State (North) to Mandalay Region.
The three suspects are being charged under the Law and investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects, it is learnt. — MNA
