Subversive media are disseminating false information on social networks, falsely claiming that the Tatmadaw entered Inwaing village in Phaungpyin Township, Sagaing Region, and killed a 13-year-old child and five residents, while also falsely accusing the village of being burnt down.
In response to these reports, a relevant area security official stated that on 17 May, the Tatmadaw did not enter Inwaing village, and the circulated news of residents being killed and the village being set on fire is indeed false.
It is reported that these illegal subversive media outlets are fabricating news and spreading propaganda on social networks to deceive the public about the actions of the security forces. — MNA/TKO
