The Sule Square Office Tower and Retail Mall officially opened on 15 October with an evening celebration attended by the Mayor of Yangon, U Maung Maung Soe and the community’s business leaders. Assembling at the city’s newest landmark, comprising 36,000 leasable square metres of combined office and retail space, guests enjoyed a lighting up ceremony and lantern display, followed by a cocktail reception.
“We are excited to premier the Sule Square Office Tower and Retail Mall in Yangon’s prime CBD area,” said Phillip Couvaras, area general manager of Sule Shangri-La, Yangon.
“The modern office and retail complex will serve as an ideal venue to bring the community together, while meeting the needs of business corporations.
The unveiling of the mixed-use grade-A Sule Square Office Tower and Retail Mall represents Shangri-La’s investment of USD125 million towards the development of the downtown area. Positioned with panoramic views of the city, the 23-floor complex provides fifteen floors of dedicated office space – each at approximately 2,000 square metres, a retail component encompassing a supermarket, as well as 30 shops including dining outlets and an indoor 550-car parking space.
The office tower is already home to multi-national companies and offers direct access to the adjacent Sule Shangri-La, Yangon. It also features backup generators, closed-circuit TV, controlled card access and 24-hour security.—GNLM
