Supervision to be made to ensure people can buy petrol at a stable price

Supervision will be made to ensure that the people can buy and use fuel oil at a stable price, according to Chairman Dr Maung Maung Naing of the Nay Pyi Taw Council.
He made the remarks at a briefing to the Nay Pyi Taw Council and Nay Pyi Taw Oil and Petroleum Products Subcommittee on measures to ensure fuel security and price stability yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
In addition, the Nay Pyi Taw Council will provide necessary assistance to the Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department’s activities. The Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman also instructed the department to carry out laboratory tests on the quality of imported fuel oil in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of importing, storing and distribution.
He also called for more effective control over compliance with the import, storage and distribution of fuel oil to ensure quality and quantity.
According to the prices of petrol sold by the Denko petrol station on 1 May 2022, Octane 92 is priced at K1,960, Octane 95 at K2,020, Premium Diesel at K2,345 and Diesel at K2,320 in Yangon. Octane 92 is valued at K2,000, Octane 95 at K2,145, Premium Diesel at K2,375, and Diesel at K2,340 in Mandalay. Octane 92 is priced at K2,000, Octane 95 at K2,100, Premium Diesel at K2,400, and Diesel at K2,365 in Nay Pyi Taw. —Htun Htun/GNLM
