Support provided to IDPs in Myitkyina, Waingmaw townships

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan provided comfort to internally displaced people (IDPs) who have fled from conflicts in Myitkyina and Waingmaw townships. The meeting took place at the Sutngai Mountain shelter in Myitkyina yesterday.
He assured the IDPs that the state government would swiftly provide support for their basic needs. Additionally, the chief minister and his team offered K5 million in cash and K522,500 worth of rice, instant noodles, eggs, and edible oil to assist 53 IDPs at the shelter.
Following this, they sought the blessing of the Reverend and inspected the shelter for infrastructure maintenance.
Later in the afternoon, the chief minister held a meeting with the Committee to Reassess Seizures of Farmland and Other Land in Kachin State. During the meeting, he stressed the importance of adhering to laws, rules, and procedures in the evaluation process.
The committee members presented a restructuring plan for the committee and discussed pending cases awaiting decisions. The Chief Minister provided his insights on each case. — IRPD (Kachin State)/NT
