Tachilek Tsp police confiscate over 6 mln illegal tablets

Two men were arrested for possessing illegal drugs near the Sanlu-Jawpa Village forest path in Tachilek Township, Eastern Shan State, on 14 June.
Police had pulled over a car driven by a man identified as Li Jia at 2:45 am and were searching his car when another vehicle drove up behind the first one and stopped midway as the driver, named Kya Pu, fled the scene.
Police arrested the other man in the second vehicle, named Mana Pu, after discovering 6,502,000 psychotropic tablets worth an estimated K9,700 million inside. A case has been open against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to Myanmar Police Force. GNLM (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
