Taninthayi Region Hluttaw gets new building

The new Hluttaw building in Taninthayi Region was opened at a ceremony on 22 October and attended by U Win Myint, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was participated by Dr Le Le Maw, the Region Minister, U Khin Maung Aye, the Speaker of Regional Hluttaw, U Tin Aung, the Taninthayi Region High Court’s Chief Judge, and Taninthayi Region Chief Legal Officer U Soe Myint, the Regional Judge Advocate. Next, U Win Myint pressed the button for unveiling the new Hluttaw building’s signboard. Afterwards, the Speaker of Taninthayi Region Hluttaw handed over souvenir gifts to the attending guests and U Kyi Soe, the Deputy Speaker of Regional Hluttaw, gave congratulatory gifts to the various performers and bands at the opening ceremony.
Next, the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and Speaker of Taninthayi Hluttaw planted an Akarit tree in front of the Hluttaw building and political leaders of the region planted chestnut trees to commemorate the ceremony. After a tour of the Hluttaw building, the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of Regional Hluttaw signed the guestbook at the new Hluttaw building. Around 800 people attended the opening ceremony including regional ministers, Hluttaw representatives, village and town elders, leaders of political parties and other invited guests. —Taninthayi Region Sub printing House
