Tatmadaw (Air) transports foodstuffs, relief items to Rakhine State

Relief aid and food items contributed by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers, and relief supplies provided by the National Disaster Management Committee for local communities affected by Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State are being transported by Tatmadaw aircraft and helicopters.
A total of 7.4 tonnes of foodstuffs such as rice, garlic, canned food, pickled tea leave and mixed beans, household utensils and medicines donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers were delivered from Yangon International Airport to Sittway Airport by the Tatmadaw aircraft yesterday.
A total of 532.1 tonnes of supplies and 3,337 Tatmadaw members and departmental staff who are to help in rehabilitation work were transported to the storm-affected areas by the Tatmadaw aircraft and helicopters.
Officials in the respective areas received relief items and will distribute them to storm victims. — MNA/KTZH
