Tatmadaw (Navy) transports donated supplies to Rakhine State

Tatmadaw (Navy)’s 29-metre landing craft left Katthapyay of Kyaukpyu Township to transport one MPT mobile van (eight tonnes) to Sittway Township on 16 May at noon and it arrived at its destination yesterday morning.
Similarly, another 29-metre landing craft transported 400 bags of rice and 40 bags of peas from Sittway to Rathedaung on 16 May morning and it arrived at its destination yesterday morning.
Moreover, one tank-carrier landing craft also left Sittway for Angumaw carrying 48 bags of supplies, two miltrucks (2,000 gallons), two water purification trucks, two Seino trucks and 150 bags of rice yesterday morning.
Similarly, the navy ship (Pyi Taw Aye 2) left Bo Aung Kyaw jetty of Yangon for Sittway Township at noon yesterday carrying a total of 660 tonnes of relief items including rice bags, CI sheets, roofing nails, palm oil, application forms for ID cards, generators, ration and so on.
Yangon Region Chief Minster U Soe Thein, Yangon Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Hein and officials gave a send-off.
Similarly, two 29-metre landing craft will transport 32.5 tonnes of relief items including water purification truck and Canopy tents and related materials donated by the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) along the Sittway-Yaychanpyin-Rathedaung route.
Moreover, the Bandula vessel that left Yangon carrying members of recuse teams and relief items on the morning of 16 May arrived in Sittway Township yesterday evening.
The Mottama vessel that left Bo Aung Kyaw jetty of Yangon carrying relief items, rescue team members and 104 staff from the Ministry of Electric Power on the morning of 16 May arrived in the Sittway estuary of Rakhine State yesterday night. It will dock at Sittway jetty and transport the aids, recuse team members and staff who will carry out recuse work on 18 May morning. — MNA/KTZH
