Tatmadaw upholds Geneva Convention with comprehensive measures

The delegation led by ICRC President Ms Mirjana Spoljaric Egger pays a courtesy call on State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
It is necessary to cooperate with relevant ministries to actually distribute aid to the people in need rather than falling into the hands of unrelated organizations.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Ms Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the undertakings of the ICRC to provide humanitarian aid in Myanmar, the need to cooperate with relevant ministries to actually distribute necessary assistance to the people in need rather than falling into the hands of unrelated organizations, and all measures being taken by Tatmadaw in accord with the Geneva Convention.
Also, present at the meeting were Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win and officials. The ICRC president was accompanied by her delegation members. — MNA/TTA
