Myanmar tax revenue totalled K1,900.574 billion in the first four months of 2022, according to the statement issued by the Central Statistical Organization under the Ministry of Planning and Finance citing a temporary report of the Internal Revenue Department.
In January 2022, Myanmar collected K47.592 billion in special goods tax, K98.867 billion in commercial tax, K257.902 billion in income tax, K9.931 billion in stamp duty and K2.374 billion in lottery tax.
In February, K94.657 billion of special goods tax, K161.388 billion of commercial tax, K104.584 billion of income tax, K7.709 billion of stamp duty and K768 million of lottery tax were reported.
In March, Myanmar’s tax revenue accumulated K143.695 billion in special goods tax, K216.914 billion in commercial tax, K328.146 billion in income tax, K13.413 billion in stamp duty and K2.218 billion in lottery tax.
In April, tax revenues were collected from K49.05 billion on special goods, K110.326 billion on sales of goods and services, K233.472 billion on income, K10.232 billion on sales of stamps and K840 million on the lottery. In the first four months, tax revenue recorded in March is the highest with K709.208 billion.
