Teachers involved in CDM campaign arrested in Kalay

A total of four teachers, including the former headmistress of the Basic Education High School in Santha village, who have been involving in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) campaign, were arrested on 14 August in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region.
Former headmistress Pone Kham Kyal provided a total of K14.4 million to 154 civil servants who have also been participating in the campaign from March to June, at a monthly rate of K50,000 each. It is learned that Thant Wai Kyaw (Sagaing Region No (1) Hluttaw Representative in 2015) and Shar Mee (Kalay Township Pyithu Hluttaw Representative in 2015) collected the money donation and instructed the headmistress to provide the money to CDMers.
Pone Kham Kyal also joined the Zoom Meetings with NUG members and discussed organizing a training course for PDF members; to provide them with arms; to form Brigade (5,6,7) under the supervision of the Western Military Headquarters; to build the head office in the CNF territory and to open military training (trainer) at CNF and launch multiplier training in 12 locations. In addition, she also attended the graduation ceremonies of the PDF members.
The other three teachers were found to have been involving in riots, CDM campaigns and received cash assistance from the NUG.

It is reported that a case has been filed against Pone Kham Kyal and the other three teachers under Section 505-(a) of the Penal Code and Section 17(1) of the Unlawful Associations Law for liaising with the terrorist organization NUG. – MNA
