Terrorists removed the Yangon-Pyay railway line near Hmawby Township and the Yangon-Mandalay railway line near Thingangyun Township. The authority repaired it in time.
A 39-foot-long railway track between Mile 18 / 14-15 between Yangon-Pyay Railway Station and Hmawby Station in Hmawby Township was removed on 14 March and Yangon-Mandalay railway line in Thingangyun Township was removed and taken by terrorists on 17 March.
A group of 10 people from Thingangyun Township met near the level crossing of the Awayar Road Railway. It removed the Yangon-Mandalay Railway near that place on 17 March, and authorities carried out repair work on 18 March.
It is reported that a case under Section 84 of the Railway Transport Law (Pa) (1/2021) has been filed at the Thingangyun Police Station on 17 March regarding the damage to the railway. —MNA
