Thai authorities send 12 undocumented migrant workers back to Myanmar

The Thai authorities sent 12 illegal migrant workers back to Myanmar via Thai-Myanmar No.2 Friendship Bridge on 27 February at 11 am.
The workers’ border passes were found to have expired and they were not holding official travel documents.
Currently, the Township General Administration Department, Immigration and Population Department, Anti-trafficking in Person Division of Myanmar Police Force, Labour Department, Caring and Negotiating Committee for Myanmar Citizens In Mae Sai, Thailand (CNCMC) are discussing the arrangements to send the illegal migrant workers back home safely.
Most of the migrant workers are from Taninthayi, Ayeyawady, Yangon and Bago regions, and Mon and Rakhine states. A total of 386 illegal migrants workers including 240 male, 132 female and 14 children have been officially handed over to the Myanmar authorities between 1 January and 27 February.
