A total of 110 Myanmar citizens who were arrested in Thailand for various reasons have been repatriated via Kawthoung, according to reports. The group, comprising 86 men, 22 women, and two children, returned to Myanmar on 26 August, arriving at Bayint Naung Port from Ranong, Thailand, via sea route.
Upon arrival, the returnees were provided with medical check-ups by the health department at the Nawaratt Sports Hall in Kawthoung. Myanmar authorities, in collaboration with NGOs, processed the returnees’ personal information. They will be sent back to their respective hometowns according to official procedures. — TWA/KZL
