The Board of Trustees of the Shwedagon Pagoda have celebrated the 2608th anniversary of Shwedagon Pagoda’s Buddha Pujaniya Festival starting from 28 February.
The series of religious events will end today, the Full Moon Day of Tabaung.
As part of the celebrations, Buddhist devotees, members of the board of trustees and religious associations donated provisions to 117 members of the Sangha and 27 nuns totally 144 yesterday at the pagoda.—Zaw Min Latt (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
