Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win inspected the animal breeding and training battalion in Bahtoo yesterday afternoon.
The commanding officer of the battalion reported to the Vice-Senior General on implementing the assigned duties and operation of the model agriculture and livestock zone. The Vice-Senior General attended to the needs.
The Vice-Senior General viewed a round the establishment of 55-acre model agriculture and livestock zone of the battalion, cultivation of seasonal crops, thriving crops in the greenhouse, growing of Kyauksein tissue banana, breeding of DYL pedigree piglets, raising of layers in the air-conditioned chamber, and breeding of dairy cows and beef cows, donkeys and asses.
In giving instructions to officers, the Vice-Senior General stressed the need to achieve success in agriculture and livestock tasks. He urged them to sell products from agriculture and livestock farm to Tatmadaw members and families at fairer prices in accord with the guidance of the Prime Minister and surplus products to the State service personnel and local people at reasonable prices. The battalion must strive to secure success to become a model agricultural and livestock zone. — MNA
