The office of the Union Attorney-General and Singapore’s Ministry of Law held their third joint committee meeting at the UAG’s office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The meetings are a mandatory component of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Singapore and Myanmar on judiciary cooperation. Union Attorney-General U Tun Tun Oo and Singaporean Senior Minister of State for Law, Mr. Edwin Tong.
During the meeting they discussed trainings and workshops conducted by both countries to develop Myanmar’s judiciary sector, increasing theoretical and practical programmes for legal officers in 2019-2020, and increasing cooperation on the existing bilateral judiciary cooperation.
Deputy Attorney-General U Win Myint and officials from the UAG office and Singapore Law Ministry were present at the meeting.
