Tourist’s caravan arrives in Mandalay


A caravan of tourists arrived at Maha Nwesin sports ground at the corner of 35th street and 71st street in Mahaaungmye Township on 30 January.
They came from Bagan-NyaungU and spent a night at the sports ground.
The tourists had meals beside the caravan and took relaxation.
Caravans of tourists arrive in Myanmar severally because they are interested in scenic views of Myanmar and fine tradition of the people.
The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, local authorities and people need to provide necessary assistance to the globetrotters for their convenience.
Under the arrangement of Journey Advanture Travelling Co Ltd of Myanmar, the tourists’ caravan of Germany’s Mr Tom Selha and party entered Myanmar through Moreh-Tamu border gate on 24 January. They visited Kalay, Gangaw, Monywa, Pakokku and Bagan by car and proceeded to Mandalay on 30 January.
German citizen Michael said, “Our tourists group comprises 37 members with 17 vehicles. They came from German, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Estonia. We have already passed Armenia, Pakistan, Nepal, India and Myanmar on our route. We scheduled to visit Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and China to reach Jordan. Some sections of roads in India were poor transport but we drove smoothly in Myanmar. Up to now, we have no difficult.”
Tour manager U Zin Win Htay said, “Our company has been giving services to the tourists caravan for three years. This caravan will visit ancient cultural areas around Mandalay on 31 January. They will proceed to Kalaw, Nyaungshwe, Inlay, Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Kyaikto, Mawlamyine, Hpa-an and Myawady. On 12 February, they leave Myawady for Mae Sot in Thailand.
