Tourists continuously visit Myanmar through Tachilek border check point

In order to experience stunning scenery and the culture of local ethnic people foreign tourists continuously enter Myanmar via the Tachilek/Mae Sai border checkpoint according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism. The ministry reported that the total number of day trippers to the Tachilek border town between April 1 and 5 this year is 107.
A total of 140 tourists from Thailand and other foreign countries visited Maing Phat-Kengtung. In addition the number of tourists with visas on arrival was 121, it said.
Most day trippers visited well-known destinations in Tachilek such as the Tarlot Market, the Bayintnaung Statue, the Maha Myatmuni Pagoda, the Shwedagon Pagoda, the National Landmark Gardens, the Arkha Market, and the Chinese temple.
