“The artists associations from the townships in Yangon Region will showcase their paintings. This week artists from the Pazundaung Township will exhibit their work, while next week, it will be the turn of Kyimyindine and Sangyaung Townships,” said U Phyu Win, the chairman of the artists association of Pazundaung Township.
“This week from 2 to 6 October, more than 100 paintings of over 20 artists from Pazundaung Township will be displayed. This week, we are showcasing figures, landscapes, and portraits,” said Daw Khin May Kyi, an artist.
“At the Bogoyoke Aung San market, art can be picked up from art shops and the Myanmar Artists Organization’s gallery. Most of the paintings from the Myanmar Artists Organization’s gallery are slightly expensive compared to the art shops because they are using good quality paper and colors. The quality of the paintings is also different from the shops,” said U U Phyu Win, an artist.
