Trade values at US$166.741 mln on Myawady border in Nov


According to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, the value of trade volume from the Myawady Border Trade Zone was US$166.741 million in November of the 2022-2023 Financial Year.
Out of the total trade volume, the Myawady Border Trade Zone has earned $40.352 million from exports and $126.389 million from imports, indicating that 79.024 per cent of the trade target was achieved.
Compared to the same period of the previous financial year, the export value decreased by $35.441 million and the import value by $3.558 million. Therefore, the total trade value dropped by 38.999 million US dollars.
The downturn in exports compared to the same period is due to the decrease in exports of agricultural products, mining products, animal products, fishery products, industrial finished goods and others.
Compared to the recent period, the export value decreased by $ 0.349 million and the import value exceeded $4.819 million.
It is reported that most of the exported items this month are various kinds of nuts, and imported items are machines and equipment, building materials, petroleum products, chemical products, fertilizers, plastic raw materials, cotton fabrics, pharmaceutical products and other materials. — TWA/CT
