A male elephant was found trapped near a creek in Bankhun village of Pyigyimandine Township, Taninthayi Region on 31 January. A combined team of local forest officers, the police officer and the veteran gave medical treatments to the injury on the forelimb of a giant creature, and was released into the forest. —Myo Lwin (IPRD)
