Truck registration, which was suspended due to Covid-19, will be resumed early next year, according to the Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC).
“It was suspended because of Covid-19 outbreak. Truck registration will resume on 1 January 2024,” said U Lyan Cin Mang, joint secretary of YRTC.
Truck registration is not a new process, he added.
The YRTC has suspended the registration services for taxis/city taxis and cargo transporting vehicles in Yangon region due to Covid-19
“Registration has been suspended for a long time. We have heard the news [to resume]. It is a desirable thing,” said a truck owner. Thit Taw/ZN
