The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation invites proposals for tuna fishing activities within Myanmar’s exclusive economic zone, extending beyond its territorial sea boundaries. Foreign fishing vessels will have the opportunity to operate within this zone under the oversight of Myanmar-owned companies, in compliance with the stipulated terms and conditions of the agreement.
Citizen-owned companies interested in managing foreign tuna fishing vessels are encouraged to submit their business permit proposals by the deadline of 28 October. For any enquiries related to the application process, applicants can contact the Department of Fisheries in Nay Pyi Taw, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation. — TWA/KZW
