The property market in Twantay Township, which is predicted to develop when the Dala Bridge (Korea-Myanmar Friendship Bridge) is completed, has recently increased. Specifically, garden land transactions have mounted.
“Recently, land transactions are happening in Twantay Township. Rather than residential land plots, the sale of garden lands, which are inexpensive and sold in acres, increases now. The sale was also good about six months ago. The price is stable but a little high in Htaunggyiwyne. Transactions of real estate which prices are on average are happening more than others,” said an official from Pyaesone real estate service agency in Twantay Township.
Transactions have increased visibly in Rantabin, Nyaunghtauk, Paungdawchoke, Kanbe, Pouttaw, Lakabone and Payargyi, and most buyers developed their lands into recreation places with plantation fields.
“Majority of buyers are from different cities such as Yangon and Mandalay. Rather than buying, residents resell their lands. About three out of ten buyers bought land plots for investment purposes, and they renovated their lands into recreation places,” he said.
He said transactions are likely to develop more in the dry season.
“Most garden lands here have no concrete road; most are earth roads. So, roads are inconvenient in monsoon. But it will look good for buyers when they come to observe in the dry season, and transactions are likely to happen more often,” he said. — Thit Taw/ZS/ED
