UEC examines National Unity Party’s compliance with political parties’ registration regulations

Union Election Commission Chairman U Thein Soe and members inspected the headquarters of the National Unity Party located at No 24, Aungzeya Street, Shwetaungkya Ward 1, Bahan Township, Yangon Region yesterday morning, which has already been registered in accordance with the rules of the Political Parties Registration Law and Rule.
Party Chairman U Han Shwe and party members gave a briefing on the conditions of the party’s operations in accordance with the rules.
The National Unity Party has been granted the right to register as a political party in accordance with Section 9 of the Political Parties Registration Law on 25 April to organize nationwide.
More than 100,000 party members have been organized and 247 party offices have been opened. — MNA/KZL
