Yangon, 4 Aug —The United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in Myanmar, Ms Yanghee Lee, visited Yangon’s Insein Prison on Tuesday.
The Special Rapporteur interviewed prison officials and inmates before meeting with Myanmar National Human Right Commission Chairman U Win Mra at his office to discuss the country’s human rights situation.
In the afternoon, she visited the Myanmar Peace Centre and met with its technical team to discuss the peace process.—MNA
