Unfounded claims of security forces attack on village circulate

Malicious media outlets are spreading false information on social media, claiming that security forces launched attacks using heavy weapons, resulting in nine civilians dead, including a woman who was four months pregnant, in Theinzayet, Kyaikto Township in Mon State.
According to a security official, security forces conducted routine security measures in Kyaikto Township. There was no armed engagement with terrorists, and the attack with heavy weapons was unfounded.
